Copper Care Guide

Dear Valued Customers, Each piece of our copperware is handcrafted with care, embodying the warmth of traditional craftsmanship and the unique luster of copper. This guide is designed to help you properly maintain your copperware, ensuring its long-lasting shine and usability.

1. About the Material

Our pieces are crafted from solid red copper.
Over time, copper naturally oxidizes and develops a patina. This is not a flaw, but a living characteristic of the metal.

2. Natural Oxidation

Copper reacts to air, humidity, and touch.
Darkening, deepening tones, and subtle surface changes are part of its evolving beauty.

3. Cleaning Instructions

 Please read carefully before cleaning.

A. Interior Cleaning (Safe to Polish)

If the interior surface oxidizes and develops dark spots:

• Mix salt and fresh lemon juice
• Gently rub with a soft cloth
• Rinse with clean water
• Dry thoroughly

This method safely restores the natural copper shine inside the piece.

B. Exterior with Black Fire-Oxidized Finish

Many of our pieces feature a blackened exterior created through fire oxidation.

Do NOT use salt and lemon on the blackened exterior.

Using acidic cleaning will remove the black patina and alter the intended texture and pattern.

If the exterior needs cleaning:

• Use a dry or slightly damp soft cloth only
• Do not scrub
• Avoid acidic substances

C. Exterior Without Black Oxidation

If your copper piece does not feature a black oxidized finish, you may safely use salt and lemon to restore shine.

Always dry thoroughly after cleaning.

4. Storage Advice

• Keep dry when not in use
• Avoid prolonged moisture exposure
• Store in breathable cloth, not plastic
• Do not leave acidic liquids inside for long periods

5. A Living Material

Copper is a living metal.
Its changes over time reflect use, care, and presence.

You may choose to polish it bright — or allow it to age naturally.
Both are beautiful.
